I like that idea.  I’d want a full-body version so it could be used as outerwear.  A top version would be good too, I guess.  But liking the idea doesn’t mean I’ll ever get around to making it, so if someone else wants to go for it please do!  Just be sure to post it somewhere and send in the link!

Strongly Recommended:

• Get “bodybuilder” outfits for this sim to keep the same physique in all clothing categories. I use this outerwear, this underwear,  this formal wear, this athletic/swimwear, and this sleepwear.
• Get this mod if you make this sim a werewolf with the Pets expansion. It’ll let him keep his normal hair instead of growing wolf fur on his head each night. This is preferable since he won’t get wolf fur on his body - a glitch that comes from using custom skin - but it’s a good glitch considering True Blood werewolves look nothing like Sims werewolves.
• Get this mod if you want this sim to walk normally instead of hobbling around in his werewolf state.
• Make this sim taller with the “Stretchskeleton” cheat. Here’s how to use the cheat (near the bottom of the page) and here’s how to make the height change permanent.  I use 1.07 for Alcide.

Ooh, somebody recoloured 3 of my hairstyles! Awesome! Especially since I didn’t bother making bright blonds in the styles destined for my dirty-blond sim. Thanks Skoogy for the recolours, and Simgaroop for the colours used, and Trapping for the find!

Jessica Hamby now available for download.

This is an updated version of my first Jessica sim.  The differences are subtle but I think she looks better this way, with her features a little less extreme.

Install with Clean Installer to avoid “missing expansion pack” error messages.

Strongly Recommended:

• Put “light” non-default Maxis skin on this sim if you have default-replacement skin installed.  This sim uses Maxis skin and looks wrong without it.
• Turn this sim into a vampire with the Nightlife expansion. She’s human ‘til you do so.
• Use this “normal looking vampire skin” (vampireNoBlueNoRedEye version) to give your vampires normal looking skin and eyes. 
• The Apartment Life expansion is needed for Jessica’s hair.  If you don’t have Apartment Life you can get a basegame version of the same hair here, and a small fix for that version here. 
• The University expansion is needed for Jessica’s outfit.  Change her clothes if you don’t have University. This outfit by Cynnix would be perfect.

I do agree with this idea, but tumblr will only put your first five tags in the searchable tags, so in a sense, you could only put so many before they start becoming irrelevant. 

Really? Thanks, that’s very useful info. I wasn’t aware of that. So we need to put the most important tags first, starting with “sims 2 download” or “sims 3 download”.

Some folks are also saying this topic has been discussed before, which is fine. I wasn’t part of that discussion. I just look at tracked tags when I’m in a simming mood, and it’s hard to find things because everyone uses different tags. In fact, the tags I’d been using myself were fairly useless.  So yesterday my blog’s followers told me which tags they use, and someone brought up the idea of standardized tags, and a proposal was born.  Chose “sims 2 download” and “sims 3 download” because it’s plain English that everyone can guess at and remember rather than a special code.

What:  Proposed format for tagging download posts in a standard way.

Why:  So it’s easy to find sims download posts via dashboard tracked tags.

How:  Everyone uses the same standard tags on their download posts.

THREE SIMPLE STEPS:  

• Always use a “sims 2 download” or “sims 3 download” tag on download posts.  This includes posts where the download is directly on tumblr and posts that link to a download on some other site.

Wondering what to call random stuff. I’ve got a photostudio template and additional challenges for the random challenge generator, maybe a sims 2 miscellaneous resources tag for stuff like that?

I’ve been using ‘sims 2 download’ then a hyphen and what the cc is. Eg ‘sims 2 download- hair’ But I think the entire sim fandom needs to come together and decide on a tagging system :)

What tags do people use when they post Sims 2 downloads on tumblr? I’ve just been tagging my stuff “download” but that’s kinda useless for browsing tracked tags on the dash. Gonna start tagging my stuff “sims 2 download” from now on.  Is that what people generally use?  Are there other popular tags?

There’s so much cool content posted on tumblr.  I hate to miss it because I dunno which tags to track!

• stuff that fits in multiple categories is listed in each of those categories so you won’t miss anything

• oooh pretty thumbnails and when you hover your mouse over them it’s all informative about what’s in the download and stuff
